Profile and Experience

David Painting is Technical Director for The Message Works Trust, bringing a unique mix of technical expertise and personal experience of both missions and church leadership to the role.

Starting as a systems engineer in the communications industry, David's career spanned the early days of micro-computing through the introduction of Office Systems, ultimately directing Information Centres for major companies.

David brought this pioneering expertise to Youth With A Mission England, joining as their Computer Manager before moving into Relief & Development and then Church Planting in Romania. During this period David began to work with Stephen Maxted, writing software to support genuine relationship development and database tools to better understand how those relationships were growing.

Together they have developed strategies and technologies unique in the arena. On leaving YWAM David re-entered the world of church leadership (having been a lay-pastor for three years) and alongside his work with The Message Works Trust is currently Associate Pastor at Stopsley Baptist Church, Luton.
