Monthly Partnership Bulletin

Thank you for your prayer support for The Message Works. As a team we are working with a number of missions see resources released for the work of the Kingdom and support break through for the gospel through their ministry.

It is my hope that you will be excited by what God is doing through those with whom we work in partnership.

Each month we will feature one of our partner organisations and give some prayer requests for the others and for the TMW team based in Croydon.

This month's feature

MECO

Muslims around the world are preparing for the month of Ramadan, (also known as Ramadhan or Ramzan) which is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar and this year begins on 1st August.

This period of prayer, fasting, charity-giving and self-accountability is a time when many Muslims seek a deeper understanding of God, who for them is Allah. Please pray for the many churches and evangelistic groups who are also preparing to share Christ’s love with Muslim friends and neighbours during this period of openness to spiritual truths. Pray that the Lord will grant openings for friendships and discussions and that as before, Jesus will reveal himself in dreams and visions.

Pray also that Christians will be obedient to God's prompting in these circumstances, like a woman in Istanbul, who one lunchtime felt she should go to a Catholic church near her office. As she sat there quietly, she became aware of another young woman sitting bemused nearby. She asked her, “Do you often come here?” “No,” came the reply. “I’m a Muslim and have never been in church in my life.” “So why did you come?” Feeling stupid, the Muslim woman replied, “I had a dream last night and I was in a building like this. I heard the words ‘There is more truth within’. So I found this place.” The Christian woman immediately clicked. She invited her new friend to join her in a nearby coffee house, where by the end of their lunch break the Muslim woman had taken a first step of faith in trusting Issa (Jesus) as her saviour.

Ambassadors in Sport

AIS outreach Soccer Camps and Schools for 6-14 year olds, in partnership with local churches, gets underway this month in the USA and around the UK. Please pray for great responsiveness to the Gospel and to the Bible times from the thousands of children who attend, plus their families.

Global Connections

Coming to the UK after living overseas can be both an exciting and daunting experience for all the family. During the summer there are some key events for children and young people returning to the UK, run by friends within the Global Connections TCK (Third Culture Kids) Forum. Please pray for Rekonnect, for those aged 6-12 years and Teens:rekonnect for those aged 13-18 years - for the children and young people who attend who will be finding out more of what living in the UK is like, learning from people in the Bible who have faced challenges and seen God help them through, exploring issues of transition and adjustment, and for good friendships and good fun.

Israel Education Forum

Give thanks that David Zadok one of the IEF founders and Chair of the board of the Israel College of the Bible has agreed to take over as Chairman of the board of IEF.

Praise God for a Messianic Christian leader who has offered to fund a part-time worker for IEF based in Israel. This is a definite answer to prayer.

Mission Aviation Fellowship

Mission Aviation Fellowship is on standby to assist in the famine relief efforts in East Africa. Please pray for those most vulnerable to hunger, and that food will reach those who most need it.

The Message Works Trust

Please keep praying for the release of resources to fund the support we give to our mission partners.

Pray for safety in travel during the holidays.
